Chile progressed to the semi-finals of the Copa America tournament on Wednesday night. They beat Uruguay 1-0 in a clash which saw a series of fracas come up.
Isla scored a late goal but Alexis Sanchez was the Man of the Match in that crucial encounter and received an award for that after the game. He did not score but his exceptional skills caused instability to the Uruguayan side who were without their best player Luis Suarez.
Suarez who helped Barcelona win three trophies last season was absent due to suspension.
Chile, the hosts, will now play whoever wins the clash between Peru and Bolivia. They played Bolivia in the group stage and trashed them 5-0.
