Arsenal Injury News Revealed Ahead of Premier League opener.

The 2015/16 Premier League season will begin on Saturday, August 8, 2015 but Arsenal will be playing on August 9 against Westham United in their opening fixture for the campaign.

As he always does before every game, Arsene Wenger has revealed the latest Arsenal injury news ahead of the game and from his interview, it is clear that there are presently no serious problems.

According to Le Prof., Danny Welbeck is nearing full fitness. He has been out since last season and had not been able to meet up with any of the return dates set for him as a result of some setbacks but it now looks as if he will make it this time as the manager has stated that he is making good progress in his recovery.

Wenger then went on to confirm that the English international will definitely not be in contention for selection by the time the Gunners host Westham this Sunday. Tomas Rosicky is also in the same category . He is close by but will not start playing yet.

Alexis Sanchez is finally back at the club after a long summer break which became necessary after the Copa America tournament. Despite having got enough rest, Wenger is still not in a rush to begin deploying the forward.

He will not be back in the squad this weekend. When he will start playing will be decided at the end of the week.

Wenger also spoke concerning Alexis' training on the beach while on holiday in Chile. The manager was not surprised to know that the 2015 Copa America winner tried his best to keep fit during his long break since he already knew that Sanchez is a player who does not like being idle.

"Alex without running around is not Alex, you know", Wenger said. "You can’t imagine him lying on the beach somewhere and not moving!

"He came back in good fitness shape so that is quite positive, but I am not surprised by that because I can’t imagine him lying around for four weeks and doing nothing. That wouldn’t be him."

That's all on the fitness news for now. Keep calm and support the Arsenal as we swing into action in style once again. Go Gunners!
