Prolific Winger Says He Refused to Join Arsenal in the Summer.

According to reports from the Daily Star, Arsenal's attempt to sign a player in the summer was dealt a heavy blow all because the one involved turned down a move.

Ricardo Kishna was signed by Lazio during the last transfer window. He joined the Bianococelesti from Ajax for a £2.9 million fee and now that he has settled well at the Stadio Olimpico, he is letting us know that he was approached for a deal by Arsenal.

He said: “I had a good rapport with the Biancocelesti from the first moment.

“I was a fan of Serie A and Lazio were one of the most entertaining sides to watch. they had a fresh and enjoyable style of football, plus they scored lots of goals.

“When I met the Coach and director of sport in Brussels, they convinced me straight away.

“I thought this proposal was very important for me because I was looking for a club, but also people to work with who would satisfy me.

“They wanted me because I could cover any of the attacking positions. For Lazio I turned down sides like Juventus, Roma and Arsenal.”

The 20-year-old Dutch winger made a total of 40 appearances for Ajax, scoring seven goals and assisting thirteen in the process.

I bet you did not hear about Arsenal's interest in him when transfer activities were still on. The major talk of the period was 'Karim Benzema to Arsenal.' This goes a long way to show that many do not even know who Arsene Wenger actually wants to sign at a particular time. Majority of the news we get to hear and read about are false.
