The 19-year-old's exploits have earned him a number of admirers among which we have Henry who is now plying his trade as a pundit.

According to the Frenchman, Iwobi as a youngster is on the right track and will excel if he keeps up his steaming form.

Writing in his column for The Sun, Henry said: “Alex wasn’t scared against the best team in the world in the Nou Camp.

“He was brave on the ball, calm in and around the penalty area and justified all the work invested in him by the academy.

“He is the perfect example of how a kid has to behave to make it to the top. He works hard, he listens and he is always on time.

“He has blossomed since breaking into the seniors and his goal and brilliant display against Everton underlined his potential.”

Iwobi who is a nephew to the legendary Austin Jay Jay Okocha will be in contention for selection when Arsenal face Watford at the Emirates Stadium on April 2, a game which will hold after the international break.
