It has been the tradition to raise young and promising stars at Arsenal. In fact, there are a number of them looking to break into the first team in the near future as a result of their recent impressive exploits.
This season, even though mixed with injury woes for Ainsley Maitland-Niles, has seen him feature on a number of occasions for the senior side.
His injury lay-off at the start of the season limited his chances but luckily for him, the absence of Hector Bellerin resurrected his hopes of getting more playtime which he is enjoying right now.
We have also got Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe both on loan in the German Bundesliga. The duo is expected to be a part of Unai Emery's squad for the coming season.
Our main target for today is another talent in the name of Folarin Balogun. Even though he has not made it to the big stage yet, the 17-year-old is well-known among Arsenal faithfuls.
The player of Nigerian ancestry has bagged a total of 22 goals in 23 appearances. He committed his future to the club by signing a professional contract in February.
Folarin who has been a ruthless hitman for the Arsenal U18 side spoke about his game as he likened his style to that of his senior colleague, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
"I am the sort of striker that likes to play on the shoulder of the last defender and make runs behind them, similar to the way that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang plays," he told the official website.
"I’ve trained a few times with the first team and I feel that I’ve benefitted from being involved with them, especially when playing against experienced defenders which forces you to find different ways of getting in on goal as what works at lower levels does not always work against them."
Arsenal through their official Twitter handle publicized their interview with Folarin before Auba gave a reply that confirmed the lad's talent.

If Folarin continues this way then it will not take so long before he begins to feature for the senior team.
