Lukas Podolski Sends Farewell Message to Arsenal Fans.

Lukas Podolski who completed a loan move to Internazionale earlier today has sent a farewell message to Arsenal fans.

The 29-year-old arrived in Italy last night to put finishing touches to his six-month loan deal and he has since passed a medical which means he can now finalize the transfer.

He took a tour of the club's training facilities before meeting former Manchester City coach, Roberto Mancini and the first team squad at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti this morning.

In his goodbye message, the World Cup winner thanked the Arsenal fans for the love they showed him while at the Emirates Stadium and assured them of his continual support.

Podolski said: "I can't express in words my gratitude towards Arsenal fans for all they have done for me in my years in London. Please know my heart always holds a place for you.

"I've loved every minute playing for Arsenal and I hope I have left my mark on the club and fans alike. Hopefully we shall meet again."

The San Siro outfit have the option to make the £1.5million loan deal permanent if they so please and I see that happening.

  1. Of course Inter will make the deal permanent - Mancini isn't such a stubborn egotist as Wenger.
