Thursday was Eid al-Adha and Mesut Ozil took out time to celebrate the joyous occasion with a number of Muslim faithfuls.
Amid reports that he is about to sign a new Arsenal contract in the coming weeks, the German international who was an unused substitute in Arsenal's 2-1 Capital One Cup victory over Tottenham Hotspur last Wednesday spent the sacred evening with his brothers in Islam.
The 26-year-old took to Instagram to share the below picture as he wished his Muslim followers a happy Sallah.
Ozil wrote on the photo-sharing social network: “Eid Mubarak to all Muslims around the world”
Arsenal will head to Leicester City later today and the German international is expected to be in the lineup as he hopes to add to his tally of two assists so far in the current Premier League campaign.
